Kell blinks out of his unseeing stare in the kitchen, turning towards the sound of her voice. "Do you?" he asks without particular judgment this time. Perhaps he doesn't truly know her after only a few days, but Lila doesn't strike him as the type to keep a stocked pantry. She doesn't strike him as the type to stay anywhere long enough to have a pantry at all.
"Let me feed you," he says, returning to the bedroom door. "Then you're free to go anywhere you wish." Kell swallows. "Please, Lila. It's important."
