As much as he knows that he is to blame, for his naivety if nothing else, part of Kell warms to hear her defend him. He looks away at the question, but he supposes he owes Lila an honest response.

"And I think you will hate the confinement. But there are pleasant things here," he admits. "I have a friend, a good one."
