How strange, he thinks, that this man has been treated as a thing his entire life. Perhaps guarded by royalty, and protected, but only as one would shield a prized work of art or invaluable object. It's stranger still given the powers Sirius knows Kell to possess and he frowns slightly, curious. "The monarchy you remember, the king and queen you served, were they as powerful as you?"
