Kell's head jerks at the voice. It's not Matthias for whom the spell was meant, so Kell can't be certain of his exact place in the darkness. He makes his best guess and moves forward, his outstretched hand landing on a large arm.
"You should go," Kell says, his voice a rasp from the blood that's passed his lips. It's pitch black before him, but he thinks he can make up a shift in the darkness that marks the way Matthias must have come. "There is evil here. Go back the way you came."
